Freedoms 2017
This was an incredible show at Jimmy's Barber Garage.

“The whole culture is telling you to hurry, while the art tells you to take your time.
Always listen to the art.” – Junot Diaz

By studying the art of a number of artists, and drawing upon inspiration from what they truly believe in, the students took a look at life and some of the things that make it meaningful. To start this project the students began to brainstorm and create a list of words related to the viability of life. From there, they began to drive into imagery, asking questions not only of family and friends, but also of themselves. With the combination of visuals and words taken from a number of sources: their old photographs, digital photos, magazines, quotes, etc., the teams of student artists began to collage them together with Photoshop to try and capture what life has to offer.
This show raised over $400.00. All of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go to TDA seniors who have gone above and beyond on their way to becoming productive and caring adults.
